From spring break to graduation, it’s all about comfort and less structure. Check out these spring shopping must haves.
A SPORT DRESS (LADY FOOT LOCKER)
Get up and go in flats or sneakers in a sporty dress! This spring it’s all about the dress even on the weekends. Sporty dresses by Stella McCartney for Adidas are perfect to wear with a comfortable pair of sneakers! Think updated tennis skirt or dress. Check out the selection at Lady Foot Locker.
WHITE PUMPS (ALDO)
The last few years it’s been about the nude heel, and this season the quintessential Easter shoe, the white heel, is a fashion must have this spring! It’s not for everyone. Because of its stark white color, you’ll need to pay attention to style when choosing a pair. Stay away from white flat sandals, or any sandal that is too casual. This white pump is for going out in a high heel. Look for metallic toe caps, gems, thin straps, and skinny heels. Avoid block heels in white.
CROPPED BOYFRIEND JEANS (MADEWELL)
A little twist to boyfriend jeans is a cropped pair for spring. Take a pair of cropped boyfriend jeans with rolled cuffs, layer on a crisp button down shirt, and top it all with a colorful jacket. Finish your trendy outfit with a cross body bag and wear it with sneakers or, mix things up by adding strappy high heel sandals.
LAYERING TANK TOPS (AMERICAN EAGLE)
What is spring without a few tank tops? Layering tank tops serve as your first line of style defense. It’s a cute and comfy base layer to all your outer layers like cardigans & sweaters, and gives a cute laid-back style when worn with denim & trucker jackets, too. These tank tops can soften up the grungy side of a moto jacket, and can help strengthen the military vibe of a bomber jacket. Since they’re made with bold colors, floral prints, striped patterns & other designs, they can liven up any outfit and put some spirit into your style.
COLORFUL BLOCK HEEL SANDALS (BELK)
A block heels are great to wear with skirts and dresses as well as a pair of tailored jeans! They’re extremely comfortable and they are great to wear during the day for long outdoor events like graduation. On the other side of the coin they can be worn for evening events like a wedding reception just be sure to choose a finish that is indicative of evening wear like metallic colors.
HIGH SPLIT SKIRT (MACYS)
It’s time to free your leg from the winter shade! The higher the split the more casual your entire look can be. A simple tank top, fancy flip flops and minimal jewelry paired with a high split skirt is great for music festivals, shopping or a casual Friday. A high split skirt is definitely a date night stunner.
LIGHTWEIGHT ANORAK JACKET (TOMMY BAHAMA)
Tommy Bahama is known for destination travel gear. The season's new anorak is terrific because the jacket's nipped-in waist and mid-thigh length flatter everyone. Wear it like you'd wear a trench coat—over a chic dress for the office, or with a striped sweater and jeans for the weekend.
LARGE SATCHEL (MICHAEL KORS)
It’s all about the satchel that’s enough to fit your iPad! The structure of a satchel is great for everyday to the office. It’s also perfect for college students carrying a few books to class as well. Choose a spring-like color to pop against your wardrobe, the bold color and shape will be a head-turner!
SHORT SUIT (ANN TAYLOR)
Brunch with the girls or vacation time? A short suit is a must have this season. It’s an elevated casual look that will make you look polished and comfortable at the same time. Typically, the short suit is hard to find, so you’ll need to pair a jacket and pair of shorts to make the look work. Be sure that the jacket is no longer than you hip and your shorts are an inch above the knee for a modern look.
