Pantone’s color of the year is ultra violet.  This cool hue is very complimentary to the lavender shades that came down the runways this season.  Here are other complimentary colors that go well with ultra violet. Don't be afraid to experiment with color this season!

Pairing green with ultra violet is a great way to energize a look.  Purple and green sit across from each other on the color wheel, making them complementary colors.  This spring any shade of green with ultra violet will make for an energetic color combination.

Between lavender and ultra violet this shade of purple is always nice in the spring.  A pink and purple pairing is ultra-feminine, and whimsical.  A lighter shade of pink is way to cool down the intense ultra violet color.

Another neutral that is often overlooked is gray.  This spring, for the office, try an ultra violet pop of color under your gray suit for spring.  Adding a little violet color can add a pop to gray suiting.

Another punchy color combination! A great way to add boldness to ultra violet is to pair it with a shade of orange.  Try orange accessories, handbag or shoes to complete your bright and bold spring look.

Rather than add the bright hue of yellow to the ultra violet, try a deeper yellow for a rich color pallet.  The deeper the yellow, the stronger the look, making this color combo great for an evening event, particularly as a semi-formal or formal attire.

Teal and ultra violet make a great color combination for sportswear separates. Look for athletic wear, sporty tops, and even tennis shoes with these two colors to brighten up your workouts and weekend jaunts.
